Hey All


Im due to start the access to nurisng course this month, I have been out of education for 5 years now so im a tad worried on how i am going to cope with all the hard work!!!! i have been informed that it is very full on!!!


 


Is there anyone that has done the course that could enlighten me on any details????

Hi Steph, I'm also starting the access course this month, can't wait and it's been over 20yrs since I was at school Arhhhhh, lol


My sister in law and a mate did it last year, one says hard the other ok, lots of work at home as it's the fasttrack cse 34 weeks.


Let me know how you get on. What are you hoping to choose once finished?

20 years!!!! such a long time! yeah i have hadf the same, i think it may depend on yourself and how you cope with pressure

Thanks. I'm gonna go for general and then specialise as places are so limited for midwifery and childrens here. Just can't wait to start now.   I'm looking forward to studying again after all these yrs and to end up doing something I really want to do.  Good luck and keep me posted how you get on.

hey , i know how u feel, i finished my access course and i start my Adult Nursing deegree in 3 weeks time. yeh get on pro nursing every chance u can get involved in discussions read the news pages every day cos when u get to interviews you can impress them with your knowledge, have you got some work experience sorted?? xxxxxxxxxxxx

i have only just signed up i didnt know it exsisted but its really good!


yeah ive been doing that..,reading the local newspapers ect...


well ive been a care assistant for 4 years anyways and only jut been out of work for 6months but im just in the process of applying for work again so it will help me along with my course hopefully lol! xxxxxxxx

I will be starting access to nursing in a few days after being out of school for about 20 years,I used an Open university opening course to kick start llearning again...good luck to all and do not be daunted by all the negative feedback..be positive..!!!!

Im exactly the same just started the access course, work hard now guys and it will all pay off! Uni is only going to get harder but will be so worth it!
