Hi everyone

I'm 26 years old with a young daughter of 16 months.

Midwifery has always interested me and since having my daughter its really made me realise thats what i want to do.

I have applied to do an access course in September and hoping to also retake my maths GCSE (as i heard the universities require this). I havent got a great deal of experience in the health profession, as i have always worked in Probation, which is what the Uni is saying will be my let down.

So my question is, has anyone got any ideas what other experiences i can get and how i go about this? I have applied to St Richards Hospital in Chichester to work as a volunteer in the midwifery suite, but the Uni are saying this still might not be enough!

Also i have been trying to search for the funding you can apply for when at uni. Having a young daughter worries me whether i will be able to cope financially.

Thanks everyone your help
