Hi Nicks - write a plan and stick to it

So if for example you were covering self fulfilling prophecy in EI (relevant to CAMHS I'd imagine) you might have a plan something like this:

What is the focus of CAMHS

What does EI mean?

What are the stats for EI and recovery vs enduring mental disorder

How do those stats compare with non CAMHS interventions (perhaps historical, perhaps not eg Max Birchwood's comparative stuff )

What is a self fulfilling prophecy?

What different philosophical approaches exist within CAMHS teams?

How do their results differ?

What can we hypothesise as a result?

What research is needed?

What would be an appropriate hypothesis to test (research question)

How to test it

Etc etc etc

Once you have the plan you must be strict with yourself about keeping to the outline. You can include things you hadn't originally thought of but nothing that isn't actually relevant to the plan itself. It should be a progerwessionm of ideas that fiollows a logical process throughout.

Cheers,

Stuart
