Hi there

My daughter is starting a BSC midwifery course in September. Does everyone who fills in the bursary form qualify for the payment.

I mean what sort of income does the family have to be on for her to qualify??

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hi

Please follow this link: www.nhsstudentgrants.co.uk it tells you all about what you can get money wise and includes a calculator to help you work out what you will be entitled to. Hope this helps!

Didn't think anyone got a bursary for doing a degree.  Thought you had to take out student loans and the bursary was for the diploma only.

Might be different for midwives though.

Thanks for your replies.

I'd also like to ask "What are the prospects for employment once qualified as a midwife.??

I thought about all the student midwives who are actually doing the work, supervised, whilst training. It made me wonder wether that reduced the need for newly qualified midwives. Do you find this to be the case??

Thanks again
