Hi all

Does anyone here use syringe pumps often?
I'm doing some research on medical technology at York Uni and was wondering if I could ask for some nurses to fill out a short (12 questions) questionnaire on using Syringe pumps?
I have played with a few models and they are tricky devices, but I need the opinions of medical people such as your selves.

Its all completely anonymous. The questionnaire is here:

I'd be really grateful for any feedback.
Thanks :)

Hi,

What is your definition on regularly? And, which particular types of syringe pumps are you refering to?

The pumps I've seen used in practice consist of the Graseby PCA and Graseby 60ml, Asena and 24 hour syringe drivers. All a similar principle but used for different functions and have slightly different set ups.

Regularly, The questionnaire has space to explain how often you use the devices.

The sort of pumps I mean are devices like the Graseby 9300 and the Alaris Asena.

I doesn't really matter which device it is, what I'm really interested in is how much training you have for these devices, if you have separate training for each different device, and whether you trust these devices.

thanks
