Hi guys,

Need some advice. I'll be starting my mental health nurse training in September and have applied to three universities, King's, Plymouth and West of England (Bristol).

I live in Taunton, Somerset and my nearest university is Plymouth, with a campus in Taunton itself. The problem is I have been accepted to King's which I am really happy about. I only applied to see if I could get in, to give myself a bit of a confidence boost, not expecting that I would be accepted.

I am aware of the reputation King's has, which is my I applied, however my question is: Providing I am accepted, will studying at Plymouth Uni impact on my chances of having a successful career, compared to studying at King's? Does it really make a difference which Uni I attend?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

I think that you should train where you feel happiest going, because if you don't you may regret it later.

Had you thought of doing a pro's and cons list as this may help?

I would not of thought studying at Plymouth would impact on you having a successful career.  When I have interviewed people I look at their qualifications and what they have to offer to the position, to me this is more important than where someone did their training.

Good luck with the training, I am sure that you will enjoy it.

Let us know where you have decided to go.

Thanks Kez, really appreciate your comments. I feel as though I am nearer to making my choice - pros and cons list is a good idea. Will keep you posted.
