Posted over 2 years ago Hello! Being a bit of a geek, I've been spending some of my spare time lately checking out the Google Wave preview. In the spirit of its collaborative potential, I invited a couple of my classmates in so that we can use it to study as a group when we can't afford to meet up for time/money/chaos reasons.. ;) So far it's been really useful - because it really is collaborative and realtime (you can literally edit each other's words & see the characters almost as they are being typed) it means that the group work together to create something that can be nearly as spontaneous as speech (great for bouncing ideas around), as well as being easily improved on by various members/participants in the wave. :) You can incorporate images, polls, graphs, etc... there's a video conferencing extension.. all in all, it's a brilliant business and social tool that I for one can see having a future in the healthcare setting.. I've already found some public "waves" as well on the subject of nursing & healthcare, which are proving to be quite interesting, & there are some good ideas bouncing around as to how it might be utilised in the healthcare field. Is anyone else from ProNurse on it yet? Any other suggestions on how it might be used? J.x

| Posted over 2 years ago Hello again.. Well, if anyone's interested, I have four Google Wave Invites here. :) PM me your email address & I can sign you up on a first come, first served basis. The invite may take a few days to come through, and please remember that Wave is still in preview, so is not perfect yet - there will be times when it is slow and/or buggy. xxx
